Frequently asked questions

What is the condition of the road?

The journey from Islamabad spans 370 km, with a well-paved road extending up to Shringal, located 42 km before Thal. Beyond Patrak, 12 km past Shringal, the road transitions into a drivable rocky track that most sedans and other cars can handle, though some cautious drivers prefer not to take their vehicles beyond this point. Thal is the last stop for regular cars, as the remaining 8 km to Cedar Huts requires a jeep due to the rocky terrain, taking around 45 minutes. To ensure a timely arrival at the resort by lunch or shortly after, it is best to begin the trip early in the morning.

What type of accommodations are available?

There are two types of accommodations available at Cedar Huts: Riverview Escape and Pixie Pods. The Riverview Escape is a more luxurious option with spacious interiors and a capacity of up to 4 guests. On the other hand, the Pixie Pods are budget-friendly rooms designed for 2 guests, offering the same features and amenities as the Riverview Escape, just in a cozier setting.

The most commonly used route to reach Kumrat Valley from Islamabad or Peshawar begins on the M-2 Motorway. From there, take the Karnal Sher Khan Interchange to connect with the Swat Motorway (M-16) and head towards Chakdara.
